Geometric shapes served as the starting point for Gianluca Capannolo’s sophisticated collection. The minimalistic rigor of the silhouettes — elaborations of the rectangle, square, trapezoid and circle — was softened by the appeal and texture of the precious fabrics. A graphic oversized coat in a sumptuous turquoise, gold and silver brocade had a dramatic voluminous back, while a tulle dress covered with maxi gold sequins revealed a brocade back panel. There was a touch of eccentricity echoing in the lineup as well: A pink and red dress featured draped organza, creating a wave-like movement on its surface, and a long vest with matching pants was crafted from shimmering frayed gold tweed.
