David Bowie’s passing will surely rock his legions of fans and the two industries that benefited most from his genius: music and fashion. His chameleon-like style and push-the-limits outfits will never be forgotten. But fashion designers weren’t the only ones to seek his influence: The accessories market has referenced Bowie’s signature looks, especially that associated with his glam-rock alter ego, Ziggy Stardust, for years. Lightning bolts, star motifs, graphic Seventies-era prints and — of course — the platform shoe, are hallmarks of the late singer’s wardrobe that continue to influence accessories and jewelry today.
