MILAN — De Rigo aims to boost its business Down Under.
The Italian eyewear company has established De Rigo Vision Australia, a branch located in Sydney’s New South Wales metropolitan area. It will distribute sunglasses and optical frames for De Rigo’s house brands, such as Lozza, Police and Sting, and licensed labels, including Blumarine, Carolina Herrera, Chopard, Furla, Lanvin, Loewe and Trussardi.
“Australia is one of the key markets for our consolidation in Asia-Pacific, one of the most dynamic and promising business areas,” said De Rigo chief executive officer Michele Aracri. “This investment is a further step in the wholesale growth of the group.”
De Rigo already counts branches in Japan, mainland China and Hong Kong. Recently, the group also established branches in Germany, the Middle East and the United States.
