Designed by Genny creative director Sara Cavazza, this will include both sunglasses and optical frames positioned in the luxury segment of the market.
“This license is key to increasing the brand’s awareness and visibility,” said Mathias Facchini, chief executive officer of Swinger International, the company controlling the Genny label.
According to Facchini, the eyewear collections will be distributed through selected opticians and the sunglasses will be also available at Genny’s five flagships and shops-in-shops around the world.
While Facchini said that this new project is targeting Europe, the Middle East and Far East, Genny is looking at expanding its business in the United States.
“We have recently opened a showroom in Los Angeles and we are looking for a location on Rodeo Drive or in Melrose Avenue to open our first flagship in the United States,” Facchini said.
