MILAN — Kenneth Cole Productions Inc. and Marcolin Group have renewed their licensing agreement for the design, manufacture and worldwide distribution of the New York-based brand’s sun and optical eyewear collections through December 2021.

The partnership between the two companies had started in 2003 and was extended ahead of its expiration date at the end of 2016.

“The brand is strong in the U.S.A., representing a reference market for Marcolin with a consistent heritage in accessories,” said Marcolin’s chief executive officer Fabrizio Gamberini. ”The Marcolin Group and Kenneth Cole Productions partnership is strengthened by both organizations’ strong commitment to globalization.”

“We are pleased to be continuing our long-standing partnership and further build upon the success of our business with Marcolin, a global leader in the eyewear category,” said Kenneth Cole Productions’ chief executive officer Marc Schneider. “Marcolin’s strength in the international eyewear market further supports our strategic global marketing initiatives.”

Marcolin also manufactures and distributes the eyewear collections of Tom Ford, Roberto Cavalli, Emilio Pucci and Dsquared2 and recently renewed its licensing agreement with Montblanc.
