MILAN — Marcolin Group and Tod’s Group have renewed their licensing agreement for the design, production and worldwide distribution of Tod’s Eyewear collections of sunglasses and optical frames. The new deal will run until Dec. 31, 2023.
The licensing agreement was first established in 2008.
Tod’s Eyewear styles are recognizable for their distinctive use of leather as an element of the frames.
Marcolin Group’s portfolio of licensed brands includes Tom Ford, Moncler, Ermenegildo Zegna, Roberto Cavalli, Atelier Swarovski, Emilio Pucci, Balenciaga, Swarovski, Dsquared2, Guess, Diesel and Just Cavalli, among others.
Last year, Marcolin teamed with LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton to create the joint venture Thélios, which produces the eyewear collections for Céline, previously licensed to Marcolin’s rival manufacturer Safilo. In addition, in the second half of this year, Thélios will kick off the manufacturing of Loewe eyewear and then of Fred’s styles by the end of the year.
