The designer turned to dance clubs Le Palace Club de Paris, New York’s Danceteria and Billy’s in London to find the colorful and ornate collection’s underlying energy and freedom. Mid-top sneakers came in patent leather and suede, often accented with micro studs or oversize Velcro tabs. Formal shoes had a retro touch with both round and square toe styles, while lace-ups were accented with contrast topstitching and cut in smooth velvet.
