LONDON — Jimmy Choo has teamed with the Italian winter boots label Moon Boot, to produce a limited-edition collection that will hit stores in October.
The eight-piece line, which Jimmy Choo will present in Paris on July 7, alongside its cruise 2016 collection, will include premium designs done in shearling and fox fur.
Sandra Choi, creative director of Jimmy Choo, commented that she has “always loved the futuristic, yet retro-cool Italian design of Moon Boot, and [is] delighted to create a Jimmy Choo signature look befitting the style.”
Alberto Zanatta, chief executive officer of Italy’s Tecnica Group, which owns Moon Boot, added that the collaboration “enhances our focus on premium goods for an international audience of fashion lovers.”
The boots will be sold at Jimmy Choo stores, select department and specialty stores and at jimmychoo.com and moonboot.com.
Giancarlo Zanatta founded Moon Boot in 1970, taking inspiration from the boots that the Apollo 11 crew wore on the first moon landing in 1969.
