AllSaints is entering the handbag market. For fall, the London-based brand will release the “Capital Collection,” a 48-piece line inspired by its classic biker jacket. “Launching a full range of women’s bags has provided us with the perfect opportunity to take our love and expertise of leather into a highly elevated and feminine arena,” said Wil Beedle, the brand’s creative director.
The Capital collection will include a number of styles including totes, satchels, hobos, clutches, cross-body, bowling bags and shoulder bags. The styles are categorized into four “families,” or subsets, each named for the streets surrounding AllSaints’ London studio: Paradise, the most minimalist collection; Fleur de Lis, featuring zipper detailing; Darling, done exclusively in black leather; and Club, compact pieces intended to be worn day to night. Detailing across all four categories includes leather-covered studs, braiding, embossed logos and chains, with a color palette of midnight blue, burgundy, taupe, tan, cement, brown, lead and black. Prices range from $148 to $428. The bags are currently available on allsaints.com, and will enter stores in September.
