Bulgari is adding a new collection for winter. In the past, the company has included a selection of evening clutches and styles in its fall collections that were suited to the holiday season, but now it’s creating a dedicated winter/holiday lineup.

“Jewelry has a special meaning during times of celebration, festivity and giving to loved ones — and we envisioned bringing this essence to our accessories collection,” said Mireia Lopez Montoya, Bulgari’s managing director of accessories.

The collection stayed true to Bulgari’s Roman roots, drawing inspiration from timepieces and stones from its Sixties archive for the colors palette.“We aspired to celebrate different shades of gold and ruby, which connect so well to Bulgari and the winter holidays, in a special and unapologetic way,” said Montoya.

The classic Serpenti bag got a new finish with a technique that Bulgari calls “Nuvolato Effect,” which entails a 16-step drying process. After the process the final coating for the bag is spread, instead of laminated, to create a stronger, long-lasting leather.

The collection drops in November, and will include bags, small leather goods and bracelets priced from $415 to $3,000.
