Church’s is eyeing an expansion in the leather goods category.
The British footwear label, which is controlled by the Prada Group, has unveiled a new accessories line that is aimed at setting the tone for Church’s new creative and commercial strategy in the segment.
Called “St. James,” the line includes men’s briefcases, travel bags and accessories, as well as small leather goods.
Exemplifying the brand’s sophisticated and timeless style, the pieces are crafted from a precious calf leather, available in four different colors, including black, talcum, emerald green and coffee black. Church’s logo is seared on each piece.
“This new accessories collection is Church’s natural response to the desires of its customers,” said the brand’s chief executive officer Anthony Romano. “This collection reflects the same stylistic and artisanal codes which have always defined the brand, but at the same time it is infused with a new contemporary aesthetic to meet the expectations of both our traditional customers and the future ones.”
The St. James line will hit stores in October. Prices have yet to be confirmed.
Church’s currently operates 59 stores worldwide. Of these, four — located in London, Japan and China — are dedicated to the women’s collections.
