There’s a growing bond between Disney and Danielle Nicole.
A Danielle Nicole jewelry capsule collection inspired by the “Beauty and The Beast” live action movie will launch on HSN and in Disney Stores in time for the March opening of the film starring Emma Watson. And Danielle Nicole has just rolled out new sparkly Disney accessories in lush fabrics featuring Disney fairy-tale characters, to supplement the cobranded handbag collection introduced earlier this year.
Disney has been prolific in recent years rolling out character merchandise collaborations with fashion firms such as Kenzo, Dooney & Bourke, Stella McCartney and MAC Cosmetics, as well as with Danielle Nicole, the handbag brand designed by Danielle DiFerdinando and part of Artisan House, founded by Steve Russo.
The Danielle Nicole and Disney cobranded merchandise is for adults, designed with elements such as pom-poms, sparkle and tassels for a modern point of view, and has been housed in contemporary handbag areas of such stores as Nordstrom and Macy’s.
“With the first launch, we really tried a digital approach and the social media helped sell the collection beyond our expectations which resulted in a need to continue and launch a second series of princesses based on customer demand,” DiFerdinando told WWD.
With the launch of the new products, “We gained over 900 new followers within three hours on Instagram Thursday,” DiFerdinando said. Top sellers include the Sleeping Beauty Aurora tote and Cinderella’s Carriage clutch. The pieces retail on Danielle-Nicole.com, with prices ranging from $58 to $88.
