PARIS — Thieves made away with Hermès bags with a market value of more than 1 million euros, or $1.07 million at current exchange, in the robbery of a packaging and logistics facility northwest of Paris that was subcontracted to package them.

A police source confirmed that at 7:30 local time on Thursday, six individuals forced the manager of supplier CAMS in Le Plessis-Bouchard, who was alone at the premises, to load some 500 of the brand’s bags into a truck before fleeing in two vehicles.
