MILAN — Accessories label Les Petits Joueurs has sold 33 percent of the company to Tuscan leather goods manufacturer Bianchi & Nardi.
The agreement was signed between LPJ, which controls the Les Petits Joueurs brand, and Bianchi & Nardi, which produces the accessories collections of a range of luxury labels. The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Siblings Mariasole and Andrea Cecchi, who founded the brand in 2014, will remain at the helm of the company in the roles of creative director and chief executive officer, respectively.
“This agreement will combine a historic entity with a creative and commercial one,” said Andrea Cecchi. “A partner, which is able to handle the entire productive aspect, will make our brand stronger and more competitive.”
Following the operation, Les Petits Joueurs will relocate its offices from Florence to Milan in order to reinforce its commercial, digital and communication networks, also through the already partnership with Massimo Bonini Showroom, which distributes the label.
Les Petits Joueurs, which was launched with ironic, playful bags, includes more mature, elegant designs and in October also expanded its product offering with a new shoe line.
The brand is distributed in more than 200 stores in the world, including 10 Corso Como in Seoul; On Pedder in Hong Kong; Vakko in Istanbul, as well as Saks Fifth Avenue and Bergdorf Goodman in New York.
