Vera Bradley, Inc. has named Theresa Palermo as executive vice president, chief marketing officer, effective June 22nd. In her role, Palermo will be responsible for developing and implementing the brand’s marketing strategies and initiatives.

Palermo joins the accessories company from Fossil Group, where she served as vice president of global marketing and public relations since 2013. Prior to this, she worked as global senior directior of marketing for the brand. Palermo has additionally held marketing roles at The Timberland Company, the J.Jill Group, and footwear company Collective Brands.

“She has a terrific blend of creative and analytical skills and a solid track record of building brands, engaging consumers, and driving sales through designing and executing comprehensive marketing programs,” said chief executive officer Robert Wallstrom of Palermo, noting that “marketing is a key focus” for the brand.
