MILAN — Celebrations are not over yet.
After the dedicated postage stamp launched in April, Borsalino is honoring its 160th anniversary releasing a limited-edition hat, named “Siur Pipen.”
The moniker refers to the way the company’s founder Giuseppe Borsalino was affectionately called by his fellow citizens (Mr. Giuseppe). In keeping with the tribute, the Italian hat manufacturer decided to produce only 160 units of the signature medium-brimmed style Borsalino created in the late 1800s.
Crafted in peacock blue vicuña felt, the Siur Pipen hat features a hatband in blue astrakhan fur with tobacco-hued piping. The brand’s signature bow in grosgrain completes the style.
On the inside, hand-finishes include a silk lining and a leather sweatband engraved with the house’s logo and the hat’s serial number in gold.

Manufactured in Italy through a seven-week handmade process, the hat comes in a dedicated hatbox, comprising a mirror and a brush. Leather details embellish the case, including the handle’s tag, which can be customized with clients’ initials.
Available exclusively at Borsalino’s stores and e-commerce, the Siur Pipen hat retails at $2,540.
