Billy Reid will open his 10th store in Washington’s Georgetown neighborhood next month.

The 2,500-square-foot store is located on M Street and Wisconsin Avenue in a century-old building that will utilize original architectural details such as cast iron columns and floor-to-ceiling windows that run the length of the storefront. The space was updated by Droese Raney Architecture by using white walls and ceilings, exposed brick walls and reclaimed millwork, such as a decorative handrail from a turn-of-the-century pharmacy in New York City, and apothecary cabinets.

The two-level store is segmented into a series of spaces featuring different categories of merchandise including women’s wear, the Made in the U.S. Heirloom line and an appointment space for the made-to-measure department. Tailored clothing is located on the mezzanine.

“We’ve been looking forward to opening a shop in Georgetown for several years and are excited to have things come together the way they have,” said Reid, adding that “3211 M Street NW is a beautiful building and has allowed us to advance our store model as we continue to evolve in design concept. The city has such a great energy and a style that mixes traditional with modern so well.”

Billy Reid also has stores in Atlanta; Austin, Texas; Charleston, S.C.; Dallas; Florence, Ala.; Houston; Nashville and New York.
