PONY UP: Georg Jensen has poached Ralph Lauren’s vice president of global business development and merchandising, Nicholas Manville, to serve as its own senior vice president of merchandising and sales for home. The position is newly created.
Manville will report to Georg Jensen’s chief executive officer David Chu and North American president Meeling Wong.
“In his new position, Nicholas will continue to build our home business in North America, which has enjoyed recent growth across all sectors. Additionally, he will lead global product development and merchandising for our Living Georg Jensen business,” Chu said.
Manville said: “The esteemed heritage and innovation in design uniquely positions Georg Jensen for significant growth and success.”
Prior to his work at Ralph Lauren, Manville headed up children’s wear at Bergdorf Goodman for more than a decade.
