Next year, the Vicenza-based jewelry trade show will take place Sept. 23 to 27, a couple of weeks later compared with the past. The January edition remains scheduled for late January.
The announcement follows the memorandum of understanding signed Wednesday in Rome during a meeting of the Fashion Committee, held at the Ministry of Economic Development and presided over by Ivan Scalfarotto, the deputy minister of economic development, and attended by representatives of the most important Italian trade shows.
As per the agreement, starting next September, all fashion trade fairs will take place during Milan Fashion Week.
According to a statement by Vicenzaoro, “This rescheduling reflects the evolving dynamics of the European and international distribution, which requires a new assortment after the end of the tourist season.”
The company also revealed that, in order to satisfy the needs of the international markets, the Italian jewelry industry is considering establishing a third edition of the trade show to take place in late spring.
In addition, Vicenzaoro rescheduled its Dubai event from spring to fall. The next edition will take place Nov. 15 to 18 and feature a new format. In particular, the trade show will be open to the public, but the fair will feature an area exclusively dedicated to buyers and retailers.
The three editions of Vicenzaoro — two held in Vicenza and one in Dubai — annually welcome 55,000 visitors and 3,000 exhibitors.
