Women’s Wear Daily and JCK magazine have formed an alliance to produce WWD/JCK Magazine.

The new monthly magazine and Web site will bridge fashion and jewelry with in-depth editorial features, fashion content and industry news.

The publication will fall under the WWD umbrella and will be based out of Fairchild Fashion Group’s Third Avenue headquarters. The first issue will be unveiled in April 2010.

Richard Beckman, president and chief executive officer of Fairchild, a division of Condé Nast, said: “Leadership and editorial integrity are essential elements of WWD, and JCK Magazine represents both within the jewelry world. We think that working together will allow us to invest in the future, create new opportunities and shake things up in a very positive way.”

“We are confident that this partnership will best serve the jewelry industry, which has always been our primary interest,” said Dave Bonaparte, group vice president for JCK Events. “We explored a number of options this fall, recognizing the need to deliver exciting new content and design, and we believe the fashion authority of Fairchild and editorial expertise of WWD will do that.”

JCK Magazine moved from Reed Business Information to the JCK Events group at Reed Exhibitions, an organizer of trade and consumer events, earlier this year. Reed Exhibitions will continue to publish JCK Magazine through March. Fairchild will honor all advertising and subscription commitments as part of the deal. The JCK brand and all rights to JCK Magazine remain with Reed under the agreement with Fairchild.
