Nicolas Baretzki has been named chief executive officer of Montblanc International, effective April 1.

He succeeds Jérôme Lambert, who as reported, will become head of operations, responsible for central and regional services and all maisons other than jewelry and watchmaking at Compagnie Financière Richemont SA, parent company of Montblanc.

Since 2013, Baretzki has been executive vice president, sales of Montblanc. Before that, he was with Jaeger-LeCoultre as international sales director for 12 years, and earlier worked at Cartier in various marketing and general management roles for eight years. He is a graduate of Ecole des Hautes Etudes Commerciales in Paris.

“I am very pleased that Nicolas Baretzki becomes the maison’s ceo,” said Lambert. He said that Baretzki has played “an important role in the successful development of the maison in recent years and will be the right person to ensure the continuation of this route.”

Montblanc’s diverse products range from writing instruments and timepieces to leather goods, accessories, fragrances and eyewear.
