David Bonilla has been promoted to technical manager of The Henri Stern Watch Agency in New York to oversee the technical workshop and its 19 watchmakers handling about 10,000 watch repairs a year.
Bonilla, who was a Patek Philippe watchmaker, succeeds Laurent Junod, former director of technical services for 27 years. Junod will be taking another role within the company to be disclosed at a future date.
Bonilla joined HSWA in 2010. Earlier, he worked at Swatch Group as a watchmaker for three years.
Larry Pettinelli, president of Patek Philippe U.S., characterized Bonilla as “a highly motivated and talented watchmaker, with all the tools to become a great leader within the workshop.”
HSWA is the sole distributor and primary service center for Patek Philippe timepieces in the U.S. Patek Philippe is based in Geneva, Switzerland.
