EMPIRE STATE OF MIND: Bulova has moved its operations from Queens back to Manhattan – into the tony confines of the Empire State Building, no less. On Tuesday, the 140-year-old brand toasted its new 33,214-square-foot space, which will house all of its operations.

“Bulova has been in New York since 1875, we have never left the New York City area,” Bulova president Gregory Thumm said of the brand. “[The Empire State Building] is a perfect fit for our company, and what a great backdrop to running a design enterprise in New York — we love it.”

The new digs include an open floor plan, as well as an in-house cafeteria and dining hall. “The whole space is about an open office environment, we really wanted to create a modern workspace for the 21st century career person so that Bulova is a very attractive place to come and work,” Thumm said.
