Original Grain's 1923 Yankees watch.

Fans of the Bronx Bombers can now wear their allegiance on their wrists.

Original Grain Watch Co., which specializes in storytelling timepieces, will introduce a piece next month that features wood from the original 1923 Yankee Stadium seats.

The watch, which is part of the brand’s Reclaimed Series, is limited to 2,008 pieces and uses the blue wood from the seats set against black stainless steel. There is an automatic Swiss movement with a 40-hour power reserve and no two watches are alike.

Because of the scarcity of the wood, the number of watches is limited and they will be available by invitation for presale on May 1, followed by the full launch on May 12 on the Original Grain web site. Each will be numbered and engraved. The 2,008 number was chosen to commemorate the final season of the old Yankee Stadium.

The watch will retail for $1,850 and will include an interchangeable leather strap and a wooden gift box with trophy case.

Original Grain is an official licensee of Major League Baseball.

“Consumers have a great desire to wear timepieces that tell more than the time, they tell a story,” said Paul Buss, chief executive officer of Original Grain. “To introduce original wood from iconic Yankee Stadium, one of the most celebrated cathedrals in all of sports, is an exciting progression for the Reclaimed Series. This watch is a tribute to the legendary stories that took place at the original Yankee Stadium.”

The first watch in the Reclaimed series was introduced last August and was with Jim Beam Black and used wood inspired by bourbon barrels. Original Grain is expected to offer other MLB-themed watches with different teams later in the season. The company is based in San Diego and creates timepieces out of natural hardwoods and stainless steel.
