Parmigiani Fleurier has named Thierry Collot as president of Parmigiani Fleurier Americas. In his role, Collot will work to increase brand awareness. “My role is going to make the story of Parmigiani known to more and more people,” he said. “It’s really a brand that needs to be put out there. It’s one of the top brands in the industry, but, unfortunately, most people don’t know it. We need to re-explain what the story is all about and where we come from.
“The landscape of communication is getting more and more complex every day, so it’s finding a way to attract the general public and watch collectors at the same time. And, it’s the brand that appeals to women as much as men, and that makes it a bit more complex in terms of our message. It’s a very intricate proposition that needs to be articulated in a very intelligent way, and that will be a great challenge.”
Collot joins the brand after five years at Spanish jewelry company Carrera y Carrera as president and chief executive officer. Prior to Carrera y Carrera, Collot worked as executive vice president of Daum USA, and was president and ceo of Bertolucci.
