The handbag — a $1,350 gray pearlescent acrylic clutch with a white rose motif — contains Aerin Beauty’s limited-edition Rose de Grasse lipstick, a neutral beige-pink, and a gold-toned travel comb.
Lauder noted that she’s long been a fan of the five-year-old handbag company. She and Heyman worked collaboratively to design the bag.
“We think the bag will appeal to people of all ages,” said Lauder, who noted that 25 of the sets have been produced. “The rose motif is timeless.”
“I love doing personal appearances and talking to my consumers,” said Lauder. “I think I’m like my grandmother in that respect. I always enjoy hearing what consumers have to say.”
Aerin Beauty’s other collaborators have included fashion jewelry with Erickson Beamon, fabrics and area rugs with Lee Jofa and tabletop and home with Lenox. “There’s something so energizing and exciting about collaborating on these projects,” said Lauder.
