PARIS — The beauty look at Elie Saab’s couture show Wednesday “was all about young, fresh, elegant, innocent beauty,” explained makeup artist Val Garland, working for MAC Cosmetics.

“So it’s about an elongated eyeliner on the eye, a rush of flush – but a gentle rush of flush – on the cheeks and really soft, petal-pink lips,” she continued.

Blush-wise, Garland used MAC’s Pink Shock cream color base.

Hairstylist Orlando Pita parted models’ hair in the middle, then wove two cornrows along either side of their heads.

“On mostly all the girls, we’re adding one fake braid and then taking the two braids and making a bun in the back,” he said.
