“The Simone Rocha girl is a swampy, indie, Victoriana club kid,” said makeup artist Sam Bryant, who was working with MAC Cosmetics. “She’s gone out and nicked her granny’s fur!”
Using her fingers, she tapped MAC Studio Waterweight Foundation onto the skin and accentuated the finish with Strobe Cream in a shade of silver. Feline Eye Pencil was smudged into the lash line with MAC Studio Eyegloss in the black Spank Me shade patted onto the lid. Fluid Lipstick was pressed into lips for a muted effect, she said.
Hairstylist James Pecis used KMS products to create his “twisted granny hair.” Having drenched the lengths in Add Volume Root and Body Lift, he back-combed the lower section and rolled it into a bun secured with elastic and twisted the top into a series of pin curls. “Like she’s tried to set her hair like her gran, but has used too much product,” he said. He finished the look with Hairstay Maximum Hold Spray.
