PARIS — “Very sheer” is how makeup artist Pat McGrath described the look she conceived for Valentino Wednesday, adding the models seemed “as if they were sketches, slightly sepia-toned.”

Sheer hues were applied around eyes.

“It’s just a very transparent use of colors,” explained McGrath.

Hairstylist Guido Palau, meanwhile, created sleek updos for the show.

“I think the hair being pulled up in a chignon very high gives a really good elongated head shape, which makes it very beautiful,” he said, adding a key product used was Redken Forceful 23 Super Strength Finishing Spray.
