When describing the sleek low ponytail at Wes Gordon, James Pecis for Bumble and bumble noted Amber Valletta in Craig McDean’s photographs from the Nineties served as inspiration. Pecis began by creating a center part and applied Thickening Full Form Mousse throughout the hair for a thick, luxurious texture. He then pulled the hair back in a low ponytail and fastened it with a metal cuff, which was created the night before the show. Simply put, Pecis said, “It’s modern femininity.”

Meanwhile, brows and dewy skin were the focus for the makeup. Carole Colombani for Maybelline New York enhanced the natural look of the models’ skin by using Dream Wonder Foundation. “It’s not a heavy texture since it’s the summer,” she explained. Next, she used a brow pencil and Brow Drama mascara and brushed brows up. She finished by dabbing Baby Lips in Quenched on the lips. “It’s kind of like a French rebel,” Colombani noted of the makeup.
