NEW YORK – Shower gels and glycerin soaps aren’t the only products ringing up sales in bath and body departments. Retailers and manufacturers are also applauding the budding bath accessories business. “They really sell well in conjunction with the bath products,” said Mark Kaplan, president of Sarah Michaels. “Since you can’t really use a shower gel effectively without a sponge or a sponge effectively without a shower gel, they spur multiple purchases.”
