High Vibrational Beauty

Plant-based recipes, natural skin care and self-care rituals: That is what readers will find in natural beauty retailer CAP Beauty’s first book, “High Vibrational Beauty.” The book serves as a guide to wellness and is an extension of the retailer’s philosophy of beauty starting from within.

“It’s been really clear to [cofounder Kerrilynn Pamer] and I that there is really a lifestyle to [natural beauty],” said Cindy Diprima Morisse, cofounder of CAP Beauty. “It’s about how we live and how we take care of ourselves.”

The book, which is visually driven with photography by Pamer’s husband John von Pamer, prop styling by Diprima Morisse and food styling by Victoria Granof, is divided up by seasons to offer specific tips and rituals that correspond with that time of year, giving a comprehensive guide to year-round natural beauty.

“At CAP Beauty we believe in a 360-degree approach, meaning the way we approach our products and practices in beauty has a lot to do with health and wellness,” she continued. “The book is really a guidebook to all of the practices that create what we call ‘radical health,’ which is a building block of feeling good, aging well and being well.”

The book includes 124 plant-based recipes that are said to have wellness benefits, like a “Tonic Youth Pesto” that cleanses with basil leaves, dandelion leaves and hemp seeds, and “Source Soup” that stimulates metabolism with turmeric root, mustard seeds and black pepper.

It also includes product recommendations from brands the retailer carries in-store, like Tata Harper, Marie Veronique and May Lindstrom. There is an introduction to healing crystals, do-it-yourself skin-care formulas and a guide to self-care rituals, like meditation, cleansing and other lifestyle tips.

“I hope that [readers] get inspired to start adopting some of these practices and take good care of themselves,” Diprima Morisse said. “We love seeing our customers falling deeper and deeper into these practices and how truly transformative they can be.”

“High Vibrational Beauty” is currently available for $27.99. CAP Beauty operates out of its New York flagship and at Fred Segal in Los Angeles.
