Coty Inc. announced today the appointment of Esra Erkal-Paler as chief global corporate affairs officer and executive committee member. This is a new position at Coty Inc. and a new appointment to its executive committee. She will assume the role on May 21 and be based in London.
Erkal-Paler comes to Coty from AstraZeneca, where she is the global head of external communications. In her new role, Erkal-Paler will lead Coty Inc.’s global internal and external communications strategies and growth. She will report to chief executive officer Camillo Pane.

Prior to her role at AstraZeneca, Erkal-Paler was the executive director of The Advertising Standards Authority, where she was in charge of policy, public affairs and communication. She also worked at L’Oréal Group for six years, leading internal and external communications, public and industry affairs in the U.K. and Ireland. She was also the head of corporate affairs for Unilever’s home and personal-care division.
