Elizabeth Arden Red Door Spa has acquired Manicube, the provider of in-office beauty and grooming services. This acquisition is the first of many additions Red Door Spa will be introducing in the year ahead, said Todd Walter, chief executive officer of Red Door Spa Holdings. The purchase price was not disclosed.

Now with the addition of Manicube, we can touch the lives of our guests when and where they work, via the quick convenience of in-office salon and spa services.”

Harvard Business School grads Katerina Mountanos and Elizabeth R. Whitman founded Manicube in 2012 to provide nail services in corporate offices; they have since expanded to include men’s barbering, pedicures and haircuts. Walter noted that the mobile service menu will be further expanded in 2016.

Manicube operates in New York, Chicago, San Francisco and Boston, serving approximately 200 corporate clients across a variety of industries, including finance, accounting, consulting, law, advertising, publishing and retail.

“It’s a natural fit for Manicube to partner with the pioneering leader in full service day and resort spas,” Mountanos said.

In looking to the future, Whitman added, “our two companies share a vision of bringing customers the personal-care services they want where and when it’s convenient. We anticipate the power of the Red Door brand will help us accelerate Manicube’s growth in corporate and small group event channels.”
