CANNES, France — Firmenich reported 6.3 percent growth in sales during its most recent fiscal year, bolstered by strong research, the Swiss fragrance and flavors supplier said on Wednesday.
In the 12-month period ended June 30, the Geneva-based company registered net sales of 3.2 billion Swiss francs, or $3.27 billion at average exchange for the year. In local currencies, Firmenich’s revenues gained 8.2 percent.
The supplier also on Wednesday released its sustainability report for 2016. Firmenich said it published 29 patent applications meant to contribute to consumers’ greater health and well-being. The company launched, for instance, Ambrox Super, a sustainable and cost-effective amber note, it said.
Firmenich launched environmental aims for 2020, and was granted a perfect 100A score in the CDP (carbon disclosure project) Supplier Climate A List and gold status with EcoVadis, a supplier sustainable ratings agency.
Firmenich became the first fragrance and flavors house to involve its suppliers in the CDP supply chain climate change and water-reporting index, as well.
