LONDON — The U.K. edition of Glamour said Monday it will partner with the online beauty store feelunique.com to launch a new e-commerce destination: Glamour Beauty Boutique.
The site is set to go live later this year, and Condé Nast U.K., Glamour’s publisher, said the launch would capitalize “on the authority of the Glamour’s beauty editorial and the reach of Glamour.com.”
Jamie Jouning, publishing director of Glamour, noted that the site will go live in early summer, commenting: “The partnership not only provides our audience with a relevant and extremely useful shopping service but also establishes an exciting new revenue stream for the Glamour brand.”
Jim Buckle, chief operating officer of feelunique.com, said that the firm “will bring its expertise in beauty e-commerce to this exciting partnership, ensuring that Glamour’s readers will have the very best beauty shopping experience available.”
Glamour’s move follows Marie Claire’s U.K. edition’s announcement earlier this year that it will partner with Specialty Stores Ltd., a subsidiary of Ocado Group, to launch standalone beauty retail stores and its own beauty e-commerce site.
