Pierre Fabre USA revealed this week its promotion of Jacqueline Flam to vice president of retail and salon.

In her new role, Flam will oversee U.S. operations for Eau Thermale Avène, Klorane and René Furterer, three of the French pharmaceutical company’s major beauty brands. Pierre Fabre USA is the subsidiary of the France-based Pierre Fabre. Flam was most recently vice president of retail sales and marketing for Avène and Klorane.

As vice president of retail and salon, Flam is charged with leading sales and marketing across distribution channels, including specialty, chain drug, salon and e-commerce.

“Strengthening the distribution and continuing the growth and development of each distinctive brand with the support of my dedicated team are exciting challenges that I look forward to,” said Flam.

René Furterer, the essential-oil-based prestige professional hair brand, is new to Flam’s responsibilities. As the brand celebrates its 60th anniversary this year, Pierre Fabre is focused on raising brand awareness in the U.S. Already sold in 1,000 salons, the brand launched in its first flagship salon late last year — the Alessandro Mangerini Salon at 601 Madison Avenue. Pierre Fabre executives have noted there is to be more salon affiliation to come. René Furterer is also set to launch on QVC later this month, which Flam will oversee.

In her previous role, Flam oversaw the refocusing of distribution from drugstores to specialty for Klorane, the botanical hair and skin-care brand sold in French pharmacies. In late 2015 Klorane entered Ulta, and the line is expected to enter Ulta in April 2017. Since entering specialty retailers here, Klorane has seen double-digit sales increases year-over-year.

Prior to working for Pierre Fabre USA, Flam led sales and marketing at Ales Group, the manufacturers of Phyto hair care and Lierac skin care. Earlier in her career, Jacqueline worked for Guiont Paris, Bliss and Shiseido.
