As more retailers look for exclusivity and fatter bottom lines with private label brands, Maesa U.S. has named Kattie Roh as vice president of sales for mass, drug and beauty retailers. Roh brings to Maesa more than eight years of sales and business development experience, most notably with powerhouse brand NYX Professional Makeup.
She previously served as a member of the management team at NYX that served from the incubation of the brand through to the L’Oreal acquisition. She aided in the development of the NYX brand and was instrumental in the expansion of NYX into Target, Ulta Beauty and several other large retailers.
“My passion is growing new, on trend brands as that is the most exciting part of the business today,” said Roh. “I look forward to contributing to the growth of Maesa’s expanding portfolio of accounts and partnering with our retailers on all categories of beauty in the national and international markets.”
In her new role, Roh will be leading the sales team, across all Maesa-owned exclusive brands, including Flower Beauty, Col-lab and Kristin Ess Hair. Based out of Maesa’s New York headquarters, Roh will report to Julien Saada, cofounder and chief executive officer of Maesa.
