The mid-Seventies British punk band The Slits inspired hairstyling by Duffy at Marni backstage. An all-girl band at the beginning of the punk movement — four girls from different parts of the globe who were listening to the same music and believed in the same counterculture.
But they all kept their own personality: “A little mean, a little hard and a little nasty,” said Duffy. Every model on the runway had to keep their own personality, too, with different haircuts and different hairstyles.
Makeup by Pat McGrath focused on the eyes, with strong blacks defining eyelids and lashes.
Skin was left raw and eyebrows were mainly just brushed up. Lips were treated with lip balm and kept natural.
