PARIS — Rives de la Beauté — the annual event emphasizing links between beauty and the City of Light, spanning both sides of the Seine — kicks off its six edition today.
Taking place through Sept. 21, it involves four walks in various parts of Paris, such as Saint-Germain-des-Prés, the Marais and Avenue des Champs-Élysées, as well as boutiques, conferences and museums. Once again, the happening is meant to reflect beauty’s multifaceted character and how it connects with other disciplines, such as fashion, art, literature and film.
Events include the “Anosmie” exhibition showcasing photojournalist Eléonore de Bonneval’s work that explores the part olfactory senses play in people’s daily life, in Kenzo’s 3 Place des Victoires showroom. There’s also a literary salon starting at 4 p.m. on Sept. 18 at Le Salon by Thé des Ecrivains, at 16 Rue des Minimes.
