LUCAS LEAVES BENDEL’S: As part of the recent restructuring of Henri Bendel, Claudia Lucas has left the company. Scott Schramm, who was recently appointed senior vice president and general merchandise manager, will assume the responsibilities of Lucas, who was senior vice president and general merchandise manager of beauty.

HAUTELOOK HIRE: Paula Scandone has joined Los Angeles-based online sample sale club HauteLook as director of beauty. Scandone’s previous posts include retail director at The Plaza Beauty by Warren-Tricomi, divisional merchandise manager at Ulta and senior cosmetics buyer at Saks Fifth Avenue. “We are very excited to have Paula Scandone join our team at HauteLook,” said Adam Bernhard, chief executive officer of HauteLook. “We have had great success with our cosmetics and beauty sales, and the addition of Paula, with her vast knowledge of this industry, will definitely provide the leadership that will enable HauteLook to bring the best brands in the industry to our loyal membership.” Mark, Stila, Pop Beauty and Smashbox are among the beauty brands for which HauteLook has executed sales.
TRES FASHIONABLE: TRESemmé has teamed up with the new reality competition show, “The Fashion Show,” as the official hair partner, which will award one talented designer $125,000. The series, which is hosted by designer Isaac Mizrahi and four-time Grammy Award-winning Kelly Rowland, premiered May 7 on Bravo. Celebrity stylist Jeanie Syfu will lead the TRESemmé team to create all of the runway looks.

DIY HAIR: Hairstylist and salon owner Antonio Prieto wants women to be able to achieve a great hairstyle at home, not just when they come to the salon. So Prieto is launching a DVD series, which will feature how-tos in achieving certain hair looks. The first DVD, called “Modern Waves,” is a step-by-step demonstration of how to get waves at home, including what products will get you there. The DVD is available at Prieto’s Chelsea salon in Manhattan, located at 127 West 20th Street, and will sell for $45. Future DVDs will tackle updos and blow outs.
