Wunder2 Cosmetics is the latest beauty brand to add an augmented reality tool to help shoppers find the right products. Wunder2 selected YouCam Makeup as its technology partner to bring the virtual try-on feature to its web site as well as inclusion on YouCam’s app.
The launch includes WunderBrow, WunderKiss Gloss, Last & Foundation, Super-Stay Liners and Pure Pigments. More stockkeeping units will roll out, but the company wanted to tackle color cosmetics first. Virtual application is top-of-mind for Wunder2 since many of its products are sold online and consumers don’t have the luxury to try them out in real life, with the exception of physical availability in CVS and Ulta Beauty. Online availability also elevates the importance of YouCam features such as facial recognition and skin tone matching.
