WWD Digital Beauty Forum Draws Influencers, Industry Execs

Industry execs are set to convene at the annual summit, held on Feb. 7 at the Museum of Jewish Heritage, to discuss the topic of harnessing digital.

The WWD Digital Beauty Forum will draw a mix of social media influencers and established industry digerati.

Two hundred and fifty beauty executives are set to attend the WWD Digital Beauty Forum here in New York on Feb. 7. Held at the Museum of Jewish Heritage in Battery Park, the annual event highlights speakers from across the industry who are pioneering innovative e-commerce, social and cross-channel strategies for their brands, from which audience members might gain powerful insight on harnessing digital to effectively power their brands.

Digital forum speakers run the gamut from social-media-mavens-turned-entrepreneurs to digital chiefs of global beauty behemoths. They represent the diverse landscape of today’s beauty industry — from Huda Kattan, the makeup artist influencer with 17 million Instagram followers, to Alessio Rossi, chief digital officer of the Shiseido Group, and Mehdi Mehdi, vice president of digital at NYX Cosmetics. The speaker will expound on a variety of subjects. Areas covered include transforming celebrity into digital influence and brand equity, creating deeply engaging beauty experiences online, turning international influence into real brand and retail opportunities and unlocking the digital keys to building a cult beauty brand.
