Jonathan Adler is taking his clean, yet cheeky design aesthetic and modernizing a classic.
Beginning in March, the Pond’s division of Unilever will launch a Wet Cleansing Towelettes Vanity Case in collaboration with Adler exclusively for Target. And in April the company will unveil another version at Walgreens.
“My mom, of course, used [Pond’s] growing up,” said Adler, who noted he’s a fan of the Dry Skin Cream. “It’s one of those things everyone has around. I did a pattern that was chic, classic and kind of preppy.”
The vanity case for Target comes in a green geometric pattern, while the Walgreens one comes in blue.
“The women’s facial wipes category grew 16.5 percent, according to Nielsen,” said Dawn Hedgepeth, Unilever skin-care marketing director. “Women hide their wipes in their cabinets and with a stylish case its something they’ll keep out. Adler’s love for classics really aligns with our brand.”
Priced at $7.49, the case can be refilled by consumers with any of the four Pond’s Wet Cleansing Towelettes.
“Your home should reflect your personality,” said Adler. “I chose green and blue vanity cases to add a pop of color – don’t hide ’em in a bathroom drawer!”
