NAILING IT: Essie Pro is parlaying the Hotel Costes’ signature red hue into a special-edition nail lacquer in time for the Paris women’s ready-to-wear season.
Called Rouge Costes, the polish will be used in nail services plus sold at the Right Bank hotel between Feb. 16 and March 16, before being rolled out to beauty institutes and nail bars.
A 13.5-ml. bottle will retail for 12 euros, or about $13 at current exchange, while a hand treatment with nail polish is to be 100 euros, or $109. A foot treatment with nail polish will be priced at 110 euros, or $120, and a nail file-and-polish service is to go for 20 euros, or $21.80.
It’s not the first such tie-in for the L’Oréal-owned brand. Most recently Essie linked up on a blue nail lacquer with the tony pool-and-hotel complex Molitor — which made a splash with its reopening in the Bois de Boulogne in summer 2014.
