The latest collaboration between social media sensation and makeup artist Jaclyn Hill and Becca Cosmetics — Becca x Jaclyn Hill — started selling out at sephora.com Thursday within two hours, bringing in roughly $3.5 million within five hours, industry sources said.
Becca x Jaclyn Hill Champagne Collection Face Palettes sold out within two hours, generating about $2.1 million in sales with 41,000 units, sources said. The Becca x Jaclyn Hill Shimmering Skin Perfector Liquid Champagne Pop also sold out in about two hours. The Becca x Jaclyn Hill Champagne Collection Eyeshadow Palette was also on track to sell out before the end of Thursday, sources said.
Before the collection launched online Thursday at noon, it had already done more than $1 million in sales. Earlier in May at the launch party for the line, Hill announced that customers could search #ChampagneGlow in the Sephora mobile app for early access to the face palette. Within 90 minutes, the 20,000 available units sold out, sources said.
The highlighter frenzy follows the success of the original Becca x Jaclyn Hill collaboration — a powder highlighter called Champagne Pop that was originally intended to be limited edition. When Champagne Pop came out in July 2015, it sold 25,000 units on Sephora.com in the first 20 minutes.
The Becca x Jaclyn Hill collection hits Sephora doors June 16.
