MILAN — Giorgio Armani has tapped Canadian actress Sarah Gadon as the new face of Armani makeup.
Although Gadon, a Toronto native, has been performing since the age of 10, she recently started appearing in more high-profile productions, such as 2014’s “Enemy,” directed by Dennis Villeneuve and also starring Jake Gyllenhaal, Mélanie Laurent and Isabella Rossellini. For her role in that film, Gadon picked up a nomination for best actress at the Canadian Screen Awards.
“Sarah has the most delicate, classically beautiful facial features, with her blonde hair, clear complexion and crystalline eyes, and for me she is an example of contemporary beauty,” said Armani.
“Sarah has the most amazing skin I have ever seen,” added Linda Cantello, Armani’s international makeup artist, who works with the designer each season to create the brand’s color palettes, which are first seen on the runway and then in stores.
L’Oréal is Armani’s beauty licensee.
