A collaboration between Tumi and indie make-up brand Uslu Airlines seems like a no-brainer based on both companies’ DNA.

Tumi creates travel essentials, while Uslu Airlines’ nail lacquers are all named after airports.

It’s a perfect fit.

“We select our partners based on a combination of proximity and distance: they should be very close to us in their spirit and as far away as possible in their specific field of expertise,” declared Feride Uslu, founder and creative director of Uslu Airlines.

Today, the brands will team up to launch the Ber Travel Cosmetic Kit, $195, which will include seven interior compartments, brush slots, a TSA toiletry pouch, removable zip pouch and a nail polish case. Additionally, it includes Uslu Airlines favorite polish shades (TXL, BER, BHC and MCT) and Tumi’s signature “Add-a-Bag” strap that fits on top of any Tumi wheeled luggage.

“Working together with Uslu Airlines is a first-time cosmetic brand collaboration for Tumi,” said Jerome Griffith, chief executive officer and president of Tumi. “We were always interested in building a relationship within the beauty field partially because we knew a potential collaboration would be successful as it brings added brand awareness to our female travel accessories business.”
