Yves Saint Laurent Parfums and Guess Inc. are each turning a page into a second chapter of their individual fragrance histories, with two women’s scents that have been unveiled with great commotion — a big New York party for YSL and a fashion show in Florence for Guess. YSL has created Belle d’Opium, a version of the 1977 landmark, Opium, that is meant to attract a new generation of users. Guess authored the first scent, called Seductive, with its new licensee, Coty Inc., while plotting a strong push for its fashion business in Europe and Asia.
