For the debut, the luxury label collaborated with English artist Mat Maitland, who created special artwork including Bulgari’s most iconic scents, as its first fragrance “Eau Parfumée au Thé Vert” launched in 1992. Along with the fragrances, signature features of the brand’s Italian heritage appear in the colorful collage, including Roman architectural elements and half-bust statues.
The project will run through March 18 with tassels of the visual artwork to be unveiled every day.
Based in London, Maitland’s work has already been featured in glossy magazines and his surrealist-pop images and films have been commissioned by a range of labels, including Kenzo, Louis Vuitton, Nike and MAC Cosmetics Nike.
In addition, Maitland also art directed and designed music campaigns and images for Michael Jackson, Prince, Elton John, Kylie Minogue, Lana Del Rey, Basement Jaxx and Mark Ronson, among others.
